Just keeping track of recent work…more to come on upcoming events
My scholarly book Critical Discourses of the Fantastic, 1712-1831 (Ashgate) is currently a Finalist for the 2014 Mythopoeic Scholarship Award for Myth and Fantasy Studies. I will know in August if my book wins…wish me luck.
I am head curator on a new website, Philip K. Dick in Orange County, created with my fabulous 2014 Digital Literary Studies class. The site is up, but we will be having an official launch event Fall, 2014, with Bookmachine, a Fullerton book and zinestore. More to come on the OC launch party, but until then, like us on Facebook:
My co-written story (with Jacob Weisman), “Lost October,” will be reprinted this October in Fields of Fantasy: Baseball Tales of the Fantastic and Supernatural (Night Shade, 2014), Edited by Rick Wilber. This story appeared in W.P. Kinsella’s Baseball Fantastic.
My co-edited (with Jacob Weisman) collection, The Treasury of the Fantastic: Romanticism to the Early Twentieth Century has been republished by Tachyon, 2013. The book collects great fantasy stories and poems from the early 19th-century through the early 20th-century.
“Revising Horror (The Wrong Mouth)” is a poem published in one of the last print issues of Mythic Delirium #28, Spring, 2013.
